If you check MBAM forums, there are MANY sites affected by this blocking.....and MBAM seems to stand firm on continuing it at least for now. Maybe if enough people continue to complain, some resolution can be found. I hope so.

    I do too !
But in the meanwhile, standing blindly on such position, which is annoying for so many MBAM users (no only for SUMo users) is a shame...

    Thank you !

I'm trying to make it better on every release and most of improvement come from user's feedback.
If you like SUMo and have bugs & ideas to report, please feel free to do it there and it will automatically go to my work flow : http://www.kcsoftwares.com/bugs/

It's getting worse - I uninstalled MBAM on Windows 8 only to find out SUMo was still blocked. Thought I'd reinstall SUMo and when I Google KC Softwares or Sumo, I can't get thru to the site. Looks like someone is out to get you, Kyle.

    Looks like some MBAM leftovers...
Search your HOSTS file for kcsoftwares.com or 213.186.33.2

    Let me know...

No luck in Windows 8 - I just can't get SUMo to work at all.....shame. I really depended on it. Even with MBAM uninstalled - something is really blocking the IP connection to SUMo.

Nothing in Hosts file - AND I still can't connect on Google Chrome or IE 10 to Internet site for KC Softwares or Sumo. Strange. It's like you are in quarantine and no one can contact you except in here and other forums.

Sumo portable without crap is on softpedia too
    http://www.softpedia.com/get/PORTABLE-SOFTWARE/System/System-Info/Portable-SUMo.shtml
so if MBAM or other block KC site this is the best solution to grab it.
If KAV or MBAM block sumo execution there is no solution at the moment, just wait they solve the FP if they want.
Strange solution, using the same behavior they have to block Avira download too due to the ask toolbar that is not so different with RK, but in this case they don't block Avira and all other programs with asktoolbar in bundle, simply they adopt double standards and I don't like this way

John try change your DNS, I use norton dns and I can acces Sumo site, could be a dns problem too

I only have Kingsoft on the Window 7 pc - not on the Windows 8, so that rules them out....it has to be MBAM -SuperAntiSpyware isn't notifying me of any blocks.

It shouldn't block execution on the file from there because I just manually scanned it and MBAM called it clean.

I "successfully "ignored" 213.186.33.2 in Windows MBAM and it worked until the last MBAM update - now it doesn't work even tho it is supposedly "ignored". Go figure.....I don't know what's going on - will just wait for MBAM or KC Softwares to sort it out, I guess. Meanwhile, will rely on File Hippo and Secunia for update info - tho I REALLY prefer SUMo.

Additional comment - this goes much further than just KC Softwares - Rainmeter site and forums are not accessible and blocked by MBAM - you can bet on a lot of unhappy people using Rainmeter to be bitching about that!

Rainmeter has gone down completely, actually, so I can't test them with MBAM yet. Something sure is going on, but I don't know if I'd get out the pitchforks and torches on MBAM just yet. They're very professional folks and I've never known them to be anything but protective of their users. Maybe Rainmeter is sharing the same IP issue that Sumo is having.

I hope we all share the same root cause... but banning a complete hosting company rather than a few rogue web sites is indeed a strange and unprofessional approach.
