delete all SPK-files except the file SUMo_ORIGINAL.SPK and SUMo will be in english (of course all other languages are not listed anymore):

I use to run without SUMo_ORIGINAL.SPK with no issues at all, apparently.

 

If you want english only, keep the english one only.
Removing all SPK will enable english too but some text might be wrong / innacurate. Therefore I do NOT recommend to remove all SPK

Looks like the logic to not only check the File Version, but also the Product Version is still being done manually instead of programmatically. This is evident when renaming wscc.exe to wscc64.exe. My ignore and skip lists keep getting bigger and bigger.

Do you mean SUMo does not use the correct version field for this specific software ?

 

There are two version fields that need to be checked as shown in bold above and applies to most SW. Sometimes, the developer forgets to update one or the other and if you only check one field, it may be one that hasn't been updated. You should know better than me how SUMO is doing the checking. To me the correct version is the one that got updated.

I don't see OE Classic (mail client) listed in programs.

 

You can't see it because the file properties of the OE Classic exe file do not contain a version number.
