I have two internet connections, one "unlimited" and the other which is a 1 GB per month plan. So far, I've been using the "unlimited" connection but now I've managed to set up the other one as well. The ISP in the case of the limited plan is BSNL. They have a site which shows data usage but it is poorly maintained especially towards the end of the calendar month. What I'd like is some means of monitoring my usage on this account "live" without having to visit the ISP's site. On Windows, I used something called Shaplus which used to record the day's usage and a running total for the current month. It wasn't exact but close enough.

Not to worry. On Windows, I used a little thing from Shaplus.
