I finally got the Hitachi 2.5 drive from UPS after they lost it for two days, and installed it an enclosure, which was terrifying since the pin matchup was not as inevitably obvious as I like these things to be. I used the TI 9 to migrate the current drive's contents onto the new drive--the only terror-free part of this operation, thank you Acronis. Pulled both drives to do the switcheroo, was terrorized by the pin adapter thing which goes on the end of the drive to adapt it to the Dell Inspiron laptop. I heroically switched that thing from the old drive to the new one with my needle nosed pliers and no instructions. I then banged em both back into thier places and was astonished when everything worked.

    Now I am happy.
