Not a bad thing, some drivers don't realize they are tired, close their eyes for 2 seconds and make fatal accident...
Sure. I've done that, and drove off the road. Fortunately, I didn't hit anything. But damn, I wouldn't want this. Unless it could be disabled.

Sounds like a good idea but I can't determine from the article posted (at least the first one) what this will actually do. I saw "stop the vehicle" but when and where could create a bigger problem. Does this just leave you stranded in a dangerous place with no way to leave?
