I wonder what they mean with this? Do they mean that MacKeeper is malware itself, or that other malware is abusing MacKeeper to bypass macOS built-in security? It's a bit confusing, but yeah nothing new under the sun about these numbers. Home users have not that much to worry about, but when dealing with targeted attacks on macOS it's a different story.
I was told when I first got my Mac over 6 years ago to stay away from MacKeeper, that it is malware and it was very, very hard to uninstall.
