Strange Problems with Large Downloads

    Tonight I'm trying to download Chakra Linux to put on a USB drive. However, when it starts downloading, my download speed will decrease at a steady rate to a point where it would take hours or days to finish. I cancel the download and try again, and the total time and initial download speed may be different, but it still does the same thing and steadily decreases.

    This only seems to happen with large downloads several hundred megabytes or more. I don't know why it happens. Can anyone offer any input?

    Also note internet is Comcast 20Mbps.
