I'm thinking nobody knows what you're talking about.. 250 people have read the thread, and no replies. I don't remember Avast doing any email stamping. Are you sure you're not talking about AVG?

Ok, that must be new stuff in the beta then. I've never seen that before. Unless it's in the current release and I just haven't looked... (not currently using Avast).. :)

The email scanning time stamp has been in avast for for at least 9 years plus.Personally i like the stamps and leave them enabled.Ive some times had emails off friends and family that shows that their database is not up to date

So there has been something stamped in the email showing that it has been scanned or something? I never noticed it....

    This is the standard message.

    avast! Antivirus: Outbound message clean.
    Virus Database (VPS): 130821-1, 22/08/2013
    Tested on: 23/8/13 1:32:59 AM
    avast! - copyright (c) 1988-2013 AVAST Software.

The settings page (see pic) was removed after version 7.0.1426 but the 'behavior' persists if upgraded to later versions.

Now seems the settings are back in '2014'.
