Apparently, I'm an idiot. I failed to uninstall the trend-micro suite I had on one of my machines before installing NOD 32 v3, and now it hangs at startup, and I can do nothing with my machine. The ESET identifier box pops up, and I can't do anything at all. What can I do?

    Using Vista
    NOD 32 v3

First thing you could try is this:

    1) Reboot in safe mode (Press F8 before the Windows logo comes up and you'll see the Advanced options, choose Safe mode)

    2) Uninstall NOD32

    3) Uninstall Trend Micro

    4) Reboot your system and make sure it will boot normally.

    5) Reinstall NOD32

If, after you uninstall both of these you still cannot do anything on a Normal boot, please post back and we'll continue to troubleshoot for you.
