Give WSA a try. It's very quiet and light as a feather.

this is what I'm looking for my dad

for silent av, I would suggest MSE and change all default action to delete or quarantine.

sandboxie are the best :thumb: , but it wont be suitable for my dad, quick restore box after download would make him confuse.

MSE is a bad choice in AV, rather use the free Panda cloud, or let them pay for the full cloud version. Maybe also add MBAM Paid in there.

I've use three of them, if I must choose one, it will be Panda cloud

But I must stress that we are talking about "silent" security. so far the most silent in my use is MSE ;)

So far from my own experience, I have a delevloped a dislike for AVs. But these repeated calls for Panda cloud ..... better check it out first.

I am in favour of SBiE. And also DefenseWall. But it attracts an annual fee. If anyone has a spare product key sitting in the bottom of their My Documents catching dust & cobwebs feel free to PM it me. But be warned. I like DW and I might keep it for myself.

Meanwhile looks like a PandaCloud trial coming up..... just when I was settling in to my current setup too.

Defensewall and Panda Cloud. Couple that with a good image backup and it's all you'll ever need.

I also don't just trust AV's, but I use Emsisoft since it's detection scores is the highest... If I ever need any other AV for some reason, it will be panda with Sandboxie and appguard
