There shouldn't be driver problems if running a recent version of Windows. My current SSD has been installed in three different laptops so far, and soon will be in another one. I just put my SSD into my new laptop and my existing install of Windows boots, and works fine. I then have to install drivers for some devices that are missing drivers. With XP, often you would get BSODs if you put a hard drive in a different computer. However, usually you could fix this by booting from the Windows CD and doing a Repair Install.
i voted samsung. i have to say i have been impressed so far with the new adata 3d ones and the hynix 308 ones perform very well for the price point they are probably imo the best bang for the buck out there just sucks they dont offer a 1tb version. sold a ton no issues at all with any of them yet and they are pretty fast.
