    :) Hi all - had a really goofy bug with WinME Power Options after installing SpyWareGuard and enabling the scan.....

    Note to Javacool - this is for info only, no need to struggle to try find an answer for this problem....

    After installation, I noticed that my PC would go into Standby Mode after 'x' minutes or by my keyboard command, but that the fan would not stop running.....Of course, I could not tell what else was going on because I was in Standby mode....haha

    Then I found that the Windows Shut Down commands accessible thru the Start Menu would not work at all for Standby..the PC would go into Standby and then immediately wake up;

    After a bunch of dicking around with the Power Options applet, I decided to dis-install SpyWareGuard, and all is back to Normal, or at least as Normal as Windows Power Management seems to be....

    No need to diagnose this for me, just thought I'd pass along the problem...

    WinME 'Standby' Bug - Fixed with v1.1

    :) Another happy update story.....

    I have reinstalled SpyWareGuard v1.1, and have not encountered the Standby 'bug' at all.

    WinME Standby mode functions properly, both with SpyWareGuard enabled and dis-enabled, and with the SpyWareGuard Control Panel active in SysTray and shut off..

    LiveUpdate works flawlessly as well, this on the WinME system that has had IE radicated by use of IERadicator2001.....

    Thanks javacool....
