spywareguard live update such a pain please help

    please help me
    everytime i use live update in spywareguard i get the following message
    there was an error downloading update

    the last working definitions have been loaded from backups
    is this normal please help

    Hey damian,

    FYI....when you open the SpywareGuard GUI....in the Definitions Information area....if the date is 1/22/04....you have the latest updates.

    As for your problem with LiveUpdate....are you able to go to www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareguard/ successfully ?

    Also....are you running a Firewall or are you behind a proxy ?

    i have zonealarm 4.5 and steganos anonymous surfing dont think im behind a proxy can you advise
