It's got a terrible write-up on the GAOTD comments page.

Like you, I'm not planning on using it either.:)

No, thanks, after yesterday's bonus RelevantKnowledge bundled spyware, which is yet awaiting the response of their stuff which "guarantees" a 100% CLEAN. NO ADWARE! NO SPYWARE! offers, I think I'll respectfully decline and never ever touch their "free" software again.

    GAOTD :thumbd:  :gack:

If you look at the website, the testimonials talk about ContraVirusPro which looks to be a rogue.

    First adware and now rogue?

GAOTD certainly goes to both ends of the spectrum. A couple of weeks ago we get A-squared, today is Spyware Remover.

I suggested people avoid it over on the sites comments page. The good news is they are getting the registration for free, so even as a likely rouge, at least people won't be duped into paying for it.

As a piece of anti-spyware software though, I think it is pretty useless. No update feature, so no signatures. No real-time protection either. I feel sorry for the people installing this thing and thinking they are getting a good deal.

I saw it last night and I added comment #25 before I went to bed.

Their site and testimonials are a joke. They and Contra virus are listed as rogue here and here.

it looks like a sham. if you go to their website, and look on the bottom left...the whole deal with virus activity oh "high"...kinda leads me to believe its a fake. when isn't virus activity high?
