To Whom it May Concern; Recently the Spyware Blaster 6 installed in my HP Notebook Laptop "WILL NOT DISPLAY"! I'm using Microsoft's Windows 10 Pro x64 Bit Operating System (purchased directly from Microsoft & "NOT" modified by HP) When I try to run Spyware Blaster 6, (which I have uninstalled & re-installed),"NOTHING HAPPENS", it does not show "ANY" ERROR codes or messages, but instead, absolutely "NOTHING" Appears! Please help! Also, when I ran the compatibility troubleshooter (built-in the O.S.), it indicated that Spyware Blaster 6 is "NOT" compatible, which makes "NO" sense, as I have been using Spyware Blaster 6, & older versions for years with this O.S. on this Laptop. I have also currently & frequently run my Security Software which indicates that my HP Notebook Laptop has "NO Infections". Hi j80r59m, Sounds like something has changed, so we'll need some more information to try to track down the cause. 1. What other security / privacy / firewalls / etc software do you have installed? 2. Have you installed any new / upgraded versions of software lately (or shortly before the problem started occurring)? 3. Can you recall making any other system changes / upgrades (including updating Windows?) right before the problem started occurring? 4. Have you tried adding spywareblaster.exe to the "whitelist" / exclusion list in all other security / AV programs? Does that change the outcome?
Javacool; Thank You for your response! I will try to provide you with the additional information that you have requested. First of all my Security Software consists of; 1.) Microsoft's Built-in Win 10 Defender & Firewall-(Updated daily by Windows Update) 2.) Microsoft's Safety Scanner-(User Updated monthly) 3.) Microsoft's Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool-(MWMSRT-Also User Updated monthly) 4.) SpyBot Search & Destroy 2.9 -(User Updated Daily & before each Scan) 5.) SpywareBlaster 6.0 -(User Updated, when available) I really haven't done anything different than what I always do which is browsing, emailing & frequently scanning using my Security Software previously mentioned from occasional attacks & or attempts to infect my Laptop which my Security Software has so far protected me from quite well. Concerning your other inquires; Two points; 1.) Microsoft frequently takes control of my H.P. Notebook Laptop and their Windows Update automatically downloads & installs for both, my Security Software and my Microsoft Win 10 Pro x64 Bit Operating System that I purchased directly from Microsoft with NO H.P. System file modifications,(note; I also replaced the 500GB HHD with a WD 1TB HHD).Please Note that after I thoroughly checked all possible reasons for this issue, I soon discovered through the built-in compatibility troubleshooter that Microsoft currently considers your SpywareBlaster 6.0 as INCOMPATIBLE with my Win 10 Pro x64 Bit Operating System, which makes "NO" sense, considering the fact that I have been using your SpywareBlaster 6.0 along with your previous older versions of your program on this O.S. & on this H.P Notebook Laptop for almost 4 years! 2.) The ONLY Software that I can think of that I've recently introduced to my H.P NoteBook Laptop would be the "Bluestacks 5, Multi-Manager & X" Emulator Software that allows me to play Android Games on my Win 10 Pro x64 Bit Operating System & your SpywareBlaster 6.0 Security Shield seemed to work fine immediately after installation & for several months afterwards. At this time I would like to thank you for your suggestion of placing your SpywareBlaster 6.0 on every "whitelist" that is available to me, I know SpyBot has that option & I think that Microsoft' Window Defender & Firewall does as well, although I'm not so sure about Microsoft's Safety Scanner or their (MWMSRT). I will keep you informed of your advice's result's accordingly. Thank You again.
Javacool; I wanted you to know that after additional checking in the Microsoft Windows Security App I finally discovered that if I set "ALL" Options in the "Exploit Protection Categories (6) to "OFF BY DEFAULT", I was finally able to get Spywareblaster 6 to Display and Function once again, See Snapshots included!
I've come late to this discussion, as I only noticed this problem after the recent (v.6) release. At least in my case, the ONLY setting that needs to be changed to OFF is the "Force Randomization for Images (Mandatory ASLR)" setting. Of course, YMMV.
