SpySweeper Update Problems?

I send in a ticket about the host file prob as well and got this answer from Webroot:

In this latest version of Spy Sweeper 4.0, build 363 we are still seeing issues with the Host File Shield. The work around is to deactivate it (uncheck it).

Our engineers are working on a fix for this in the next build release which should be out some time in the next 2 weeks.
