Using only 'System Protection' and 'AntiKernelMode'.

Effective and enough to me. Slight, without RAM/CPU annoyances.

A good Real Time Protection.

I really don't know much about running AntiKeylogging programs os this might be a ridiculous question. Have submitted it to support but maybe someone here can answer.

After installing Spyshelter Premium, I cannot select files and folders via explorer window with shift and or control keys. When I disable protection I can select them. Is this normal and can I adjust the program so I don't have to drop protection to selct files? Am running vista Business 32bit and MSE for antivirus and thanks.

After receiving email from support, when I disable antikernel logger under protection, I can then select files and folders (more than one) n explorer. Maybe this is bey design - don't know.

Doesn't sound normal at all. What operating system, and other security programs you using? Sounds like a conflict if you can't use your shift and ctrl keys properly.

Thanks - been out all day - but I am using with SpyShelter, PEGuard 2.1, MSE Beta and Win Patrol Plus. Also, I run Vista Business 32bit on my laptop. Thanks for your help.

Do i need an app like this if im running CIS with proactive security configuration? (defence and fw in safe mode, sandbox enabled)
Im also running avira personal, and geswall free

Norton Internet Security 2011 shows this as a trojan, free version only.

Avast shows it as clean, so therefore, it is clean.

It is a FP, many AV's are picking this up via heuristic detections mainly due to the behavior (System Hooks, API Hooks) so they get detected that way. Submit it to them as a FP and they should rather quickly fix it.

You can enable sound and webcam recording for app in RM

 

Norton IS 2011 blocks the download of the Premium Version.

 

Most likely a FP, most likely detecting it via age and rareness due to the fact a new version was released and most likely not many Norton users use it.

Has the warning messages to users been improved and become more intelligent yet ? Or are they still just a generalized message leaving the entire decision up to the user?

 

speaking of the keylogging protection that's where spyshelter has it's power and mamutu the very smart anti-all but litle weaker than a program that is been made especially to stop keyloggers so i think by having both it will be even better protection if they run good in the system i say why not

 

I decided to try Spyshelter free.

First disappointment is that you can't change anything on the setup in the freebie (select which actions to guard in security, add/change program directories for restricted), except the group options. But okay, I can understand, there has to be a motivition to buy the paid version.

 

That is not true.
Spyshelter can allow all actions for module when User click on appropriate link in alert window.
Spyshelter may autoallow action for some signed apps(by MS).
Spyshelter allows actions by type.
When User allow stream creation Spyshelter will prompt User for dll injection and so on.
Spyshelter does not have user's or internal rule to allow it.

Simple test, try repeat:
Launch cmd.exe
type in command prompt:
echo 111>c:\windows:stream
Spyshelter will prompt you
All this action and remember.
backup c:\windows\system32\beep.sys
Try delete this file (c:\windows\system32\beep.sys) using cmd.exe (del c:\windows\system32\beep.sys)
Spyshelter will prompt you again (this action belong to system protection module)

Also If User allow driver registering Spyshelter may allow driver loading to decrease alerts.
To show him his mistake better and safe use our AntiTest Tool.
Goto System protection tab.
Run Registry access test1.
Allow and remember this action.
Run Driver registering test (alert window should be showed)
