I prefer the ant-exe feature be priority over the infostealers. I feel like SS already covers most of that. I don't like the fact that SS will allow any .exe file to execute, whether it's malicious or not. I don't want SS allowing potentially malicious .exe files to execute.
I see that Surt has removed the screenshots, but I saw them on MT. Does anyone have any feedback, is it already stable? And what about new features, is it still monitoring the same stuff? I'm a bit surprised that the keyboard encryption feature isn't active yet. I don't use any virtual machines so I'm not ready to install it on my main machine. But these guys weren't kidding when they said they would completely redesign SpyShelter, it sure is exciting. I see that they have used Flutter, so perhaps they will also release a mobile version. https://flutter.dev/
I think it's very quiet in this thread to my surprise. Did you guys test SS Ultimate yet and what are your impressions? Perhaps you can post a couple of screenshots? Even in the thread on MalwareTips there is no activity at all.
Yes exactly, that's the thread I was talking about. No discussion at all and I also thought it was strange that Surt removed his post with screenshots, I mean on this forum.
I am testing it and so far no issues and no drama. Why it apparantly is a surprise that the first beta of a completely new version does not have one option available is beyond to me, but as i said so far it is behaving very nicely in the same way a finished version would do and it is much improved in terms of GUI and better viewed IMO when not in dark mode the screeshots here (MT) shows.
Wait a minute, say what? So are you saying that you can't control app behavior, and that SS does all of the thinking? That would be a major step back. In the screenshots I can see on/off switches, which is normal, but I assume you can also configure what folders to protect, or which behaviors should be globally monitored?
Apparently, you didn’t look for various settings….and there are quite a few of them. Spend some time with this app and you’ll see…
Agreed. Stable and runs in parallel with my anti-threat scheme. Feature rich with a well though out and presentable UI/UX. I've pretty much wrung it out, having sent in a few issue reports, comments and suggestions. Like an embedded viewer for the txt logs in the Program Data folder to expand on the truncated data displayed in the UI Terminal. Had some worthwhile exchanges with the SpyShelter team, responsive and appreciative. FYI: The team is referring to the current SpyShelter as Classic SpyShelter. They might be dropping the numeric and release the new design as just SpyShelter. So, no SpyShelter 15, probably. I've informed them the next time I fire up the test system will be for the 12/12 Bork Tuesday Update I've scheduled for 01/05. Thereafter I'll await the next beta release msi. Or exe if and when they go with that. As much as I like playing with betas, my E8400/G35 box is WIn10 in sloooooooooooooow motionnnnnnnnnnn,
It really is very stable and have only had an issue with another piece of software and yes, very easy and thought out UI & native 64bit now May i ask what issues you have seen, you can just PM me if you don't want to post it in the open forum?
Good to know that it's running quite stable. I haven't installed it yet, because I was waiting for more feedback. But something what's still not clear to me is if you can still control app behavior? And which type of behaviors is it monitoring, perhaps you can post some screenshots?
I guess you guys are still busy testing right? Also, no activity in the MT thread, this is the difference between now and 10 years ago.
FYI: Updated site... https://spyshelter.com/ https://spyshelter.com/resources/ << They did a great job here. https://spyshelter.com/purchase/ << Free, Pro, Ultimate https://forum.spyshelter.com/ The initial beta was packaged as an msi v0.0.1, available to invitees only. The beta now is an exe setup for v15.0.0.480b, a public beta, still awaiting the anti-logger.
That's true. But, having used the beta, I can tell you it's very cool. It's very easy to use, yet makes me feel very protected. I was lucky enough to get a lifetime firewall version on an Easter sale, which works with this version. Also, the ultimate version is not intended for home users. The Pro has all the features the ultimate version does.
Yeah. So is everything else. :) My favorite 64 oz. bottle of not-fructose Kroger apple juice was $1.00 for years. Kept getting bumped up since late 2020 to $2.49 now... SpyShelter 14 was $36 last April, up from $26 when I started using it in 2019 (v10, I think); one year, one PC. The v15 $49 for 2 PCs is acceptable. And being a beta tester, I start out with a gift activation code for 3 PCs. SpyShelter 15 is a quantum leap forward in protection. I'm somewhat amazed by the number of protection modules and the granularity of protection one can tweak for each process individually. The Application Security Control, Protection Modes and Anti-Keylogger modules in the free version provide excellent security, though I can't say what "limited" will present for the the first two. Anti-Keylogging is full featured, and that's always been SpyShelter's core mission. Cheers.

After getting in touch with SpyShelter Support <helpdesk@spyshelter.com>, about my purchase of a lifetime premium license back in June 2022, and having explained that I no longer wanted to run the classic version of SpyShelter, they have kindly upgraded my license to be able to run the new SpyShelter v15.0.0.480 [just] released, recently.
To be precise, as I posted in #417, the current version is v15.0.0.480b - a public beta. As of now, there is no anti-keylogging protection. I edited that post for clarity.
