I woke up this morning and saw that I received these two warnings during the night. I believe that KB870669 was automatically installed last night.

How do I answer these questions?

Did this interfere with the KB870669 update?

    Thanks,
    Jerry

Have you tried to suspend SS&D's protection for a bit, then go to Start/Windows Update and check there and install from the site itself, instead of the auto install...

At the very least, go to WU and see if they say it's available for install, that way you know it failed.

OR... Windows Explorer C:/ WINDOWS and look for you Patches, see it if's listed similar like pic..

They're bound to be False Positives.

Suggestion: always temporarily shut down Teatimer.exe before downloading and installing Windows Updates.

On many occasions temporary startups are written to the Registry RunOnce keys (like in your example, in order to register Advpack.dll), and you should allow that to happen.

If you tell SpyBot to block those, the installation is likely to fail.

another handy tool to check your system... Belarc Advisor...

Lists every component on your system, including Patches.

EDIT: Yes, TeaTimer, that was it. I don't run it, so could not remember the dang name.... thanks Tony.
