    Damn... yesterday I downloaded beta 3 to verify if Spybot already supports ASLR, but it didn't.

    I suppose nothing changed for the beta 4? I see no mentions, anyway.

    Don't you folks think that 46 MB is too much? o_O They need to rework it, IMHO.

    I hope Spybot finds its track...

    I see they still failed to reply to your thread about ASLR support..
    I bumped it, let's see if they reply now..

    I understand that the current stable version doesn't support ASLR (it would be great if it could support it, though), because it could be require to rewrite Spybot a bit, if enabling it broke something, but I cannot understand why Spybot 2 wasn't developed with ASLR support in mind.

    I'd expect a lot more from security software developers. But, they seem to be as lazy as non-security software developers.

    I know what you mean, but it's still useful for the average user, and easy for them to do. There are better individual solutions for everything it does, but sometimes the one-click solution is the only one that some people will do.

    Personally I think that Spybot had it's day back in the early 2000s when otherwise legitimate programs contained hidden spyware. Believe it or not, it's still useful on occasion - but I won't use it when time is a factor.

    It has any protection realtime?
    I see that it has on acess service protection in its options.
    But i test it with some piecies of malware and it didnt stop anything.
