I scanned my system for bots and what nots. When it was finished I got this list:

Internet Explorer: Data source object exploit (Registry Change)
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\01004=W=3

MS Media Player: Client ID (Registry Change)
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Player\Settings\Client ID=

Internet Explorer: Last used directory (Registry Change)
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\Save Directory=

Internet Explorer: URL history #1( (1 files)) (Registry Key)
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs

    Log: Activity: OEWABLog.txt (Backup file)
    c:\windows\OEWABLog.txt

    Log: IE: brndlog.txt (Backup file)
    c:\windows\brndlog.txt

Log: Install: Active Setup Log.txt (Backup file)
    c:\windows\Active Setup Log.txt

MS Paint: Recent file list( (4 files)) (Registry Key)
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Applets\Paint\Recent File List

MS Wordpad: Recent file list( (4 files)) (Registry Key)
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Applets\Wordpad\Recent File List

WinZip: Recent file list( (10 files)) (Registry Key)
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Nico Mak Computing\WinZip\filemenu

(the first to entries are red on spybot)
Now I don't know what is safe to get rid of (as spybot says fix the problem). Does anyone know what ones to fix? Thanks.

  2. You can safely put a check in front of each one of those and clean them off...none are need for your experience on the Internet :)

I use Spybot myself. It takes a little study to figure out what all the stuff is that it finds.I know it finds my internet tracks,my sweeping program misses a lot of it.I am thinking about using Spybot for that also.It does have a tool for"what is this" or "about this program" and an opt out link with e-mail addresses. That's kinda cool!
