spyblaster - does it stop existing activex/spyware already on machine?

    I just installed spyblaster - but what if my machine already had something malicious on it? will spyblaster kill it or does it only act as a preventative measure for FUTURE infections?

    So you can track me down and stalk me, no thanks..
    I believe it prevents windows from running them full stop, so in essence, its good news.

    But id sort them out if i were you, run spybot and ad-aware

    you wouldnt believe how often i post those links...

    SpywareBlaster's protection methods can help prevent the execution/use of potentially unwanted BHOs/Toolbars in Internet Explorer, if they are already installed.

    However, as LinuxPenguin suggested, it is best to run a scan with anti-spyware removal applications just in case, to remove anything that might be present.
