As per webroot site, the new changes are:

I have a license, but am weary of SS ... So I'll wait.

    I'm using version 5.5.7.

Version 5.8 proved to be very bad.

Given what I've read, I'm not going to 'upgrade' to version 6 too.

The Spy Sweeper (newer version ) has many characteristics of spyware.

    I don't think I'll renew.

But I'm curious about the experiences of others with this version.

Me too, the last good version is 5.5.7build124
the later ones all produces "windows no disk"
this version 6.02build22 prodused a bit less no-disk screen and the Backup doesn't work anymore: somehow the login name got corrupted, and nothing to do.

This is an other example of sloppy making an addings functions one didn't ask for. grrr

I am back to 5.5.124 or
    Comodo-BOClean :)

    greetings

    Hi,

Can you please send me a link to download SS 5.5.7? I have now the latest version 6.0.2.49 and I feel it's a little to havy on my PC
    Thanks,
    Octavian

    I don't have a link.

    You can ask Webroot's support.

I found it saved on one of my old back ups. Thanks anyway.

BTW, I had a "Spy Sweeper ending program" splash screen problem with Spy Sweeper when I shot down my computer and after couple of emails back and forth with Webroot, they told me that on March 09, they will have a brand new version, that will fix many issues and the END PROGRAM splash screen is one of them.
To me even if SS it's a little heavy on the system, I still feel it's a good security protection together with NOD32 v3. (v4 is comming soon).

    Have a nice day.

It's your decision, but I consider the Spy Sweeper a 'has been'. There are many better alternatives.

    Hello Fly,

What would you recommend as a good Antispyware, low on resources?

I wouldn't want to recommend anything in particular, since antispyware and antivirus software has changed much over the past few years.

But maybe some kind of virtualization/rollback software ?

I currently use an AV and AS that I don't plan to renew.

It's slow to start, but it doesn't slow my system down once start-up has completed.

1GB is kind of amusing since SkyDrive gives you 25!
