Let's see what you guys have to say about sound mixers.

BTW Alsa sound mixer is not an option.

    Cheers...

What do you mean? For an average guy with average hearing, I really can't see the difference between any which one on any which operating system.

Maybe you're talking advanced thingies ... in which case, elaborate please.

I already made a post about sound, IMHO and my tests, I got far better sound in Ubuntu than in Vista or XP.

I don't think the sound mixers really matter.
at the end of the day if you use crappy on board sound and output to crappy speakers like most people do then no software is gonna make crap sound good.

I have a decent sound card and output to a proper amp with decent speakers and it sounds great.

I have an Audigy SE 5.1 dolby that outputs to an AMP which is awesome... My question was more about the sound mixer in ubuntu.

Well... THE GOD DAMN fracken controls are starting to just nag me... to be honest I think it's more just the esthetics of it but it was just a little rant from my part.

Arup knows all about those RANT's lol... but then again I've been kind of obscure in the last 2years on Wilders.

I was merely trying different mixer apps that would appeal to me. ehe.
