    Hi Everyone,

Sophos Intercept X for Android is a renaming of Sophos Mobile Security, if I remember its previous name rightly. I have been using this app for a couple of years, I would guess. It is a good app and I wouldn't switch to anything else. Many of the Android anti-malware/security apps are not what I would call serious products. And some are not to be trusted. But I do have one criticism of this Sophos application - if it doesn't recognize a particular app, that app is considered to have a poor reputation. I have commented about this on the Google Play Store app review section. I believe others may have said the same thing.

I think this app is still free of charge for individuals.

Thank for the feedback. I don't really use my smartphone a lot, and I have always been skeptical about mobile security apps, I wonder if they can really protect a system. But this one looks quite interesting. How would you compare this to for example Zemana and Lookout?

I don't think either of the above are serious contenders to the Sophos app. The thing is that I know precious little about the companies - Zemana and Lookout. But, Sophos is a well-respected company in the field of security - certainly in the UK. So, I naturally lean towards companies with which I'm familiar. Sophos is one such company.

OK cool, but I wonder if it can also block exploit attacks, you know like how Bezos was hacked via Whatsapp? But Android needs to give API's in order for security apps to provide this protection.
