What does RAID and UEFI mean to security?

Fx. if you got RAID 1 does that mean both a faster system and backed up so you don't need backups?

And if the system got UEFI does that mean it can boot and recover from internet so that install disks are needless?

So if you want UEFI you must also format with the new GPT?

Developers write about security software tests with downloaded virus but what about the "freeze/power failure" test, that simulates a power failure or a power off caused by an impatient admin? The best security against that must be to divide processes to different partitions.
