    Hi,

I did a file search on my system and located two copes of wuauclt.exe in \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 and \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DLLCACHE and a copy of WUAUCLT.EXE (all caps) in \I386 and a copy of WUAUCLT.EXE-1360D60A.pf in \WINDOWS\Prefetch. Is this a problem or is it O.K.? I have included a copy of my Hijackthis log. I have also run full scans using TDS-3 and TojanHunter and everthing was reported clear. Thanks for your assistance.

    Hi richrf,

I see you are getting help in the TDS3 forum. :) But if you want us to look at your hijackthis log, you will have to post another one as this one is incomplete.

Create a new, permanent folder on your C drive and unzip Hijackthis.exe into the new folder. Run the program, then when the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will then change to a "Save Log" button. Press the "Save Log" button. Copy and paste the entire contents of the log here in this thread. Someone will review your log and give you instructions on what needs to be fixed.

    Regards,

    snap

    Hi richrf,

I am not seeing anything bad in your log. I see Jooske and CrazyM have replied to your other thread in the TDS forum too about your concerns of the wuauclt.exe file.

    Is everything running ok now?

    Regards,
