    Hello,
Some kind of LSP snuck onto my computer, so I used Ad-aware to remove it and lost my internet connection. I've recently just had to use a program called WinSockXPFix to get the connection back, since then I've updated Ad-Aware and ran it again. I just want to make sure that everything's gone.

    So here's the log.

Hi Fat Tony, welcome to Wilders.

There's a few more items that need to be cleaned up.

In Hijackthis, place a check beside the following items.
Close all windows except HijackThis, and click *Fix checked:

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,SearchURL = http://www.internet-search.info/searchbar
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = http://www.internet-search.info/searchbar
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = http://www.internet-search.info/searchbar
    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar,LinksFolderName =

    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - _{8952A998-1E7E-4716-B23D-3DBE03910972} - (no file)

    O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {BA52B914-B692-46c4-B683-905236F6F655} - (no file)
    O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {2CDE1A7D-A478-4291-BF31-E1B4C16F92EB} - (no file)

    Re: Double Check Please

All clean, I hope. Now I've got Spybot S&D TeaTimer, SpySweeper's Immunization, and Spyware Blaster protecting the computer. Hopefully that's enough. Here's my latest Hijack log just incase something managed escape.
    Thanks for the help.

    Hi Fat Tony,

    Your log is clean. :)

You can use the Disk cleanup Utility to clean out your Temp folders. Disk Cleanup Utility, and if everything is working fine now, then it would be wise to purge the old restore points of any infection that would have been backed up in the System Restore folder.. To do that, follow these instructions: System Restore Instructions.

    Regards,
