As one of the companies that are hit by piracy the hardest, Microsoft has recently developed a new technology that can help automatically detect users who are repeatedly sharing pirated content online and block specific cloud features, thus limiting the impact of their actions. http://news.softpedia.com/news/soft...ol-goes-after-repeated-offenders-515493.shtml
Why is M$ providing more security to pirates than paying customers? It's only fair that M$ should block cloud features for paying customers also.
I guess that soon they will charge extra to users that would want to bock cloud when using their software.
This will do nothing but drive these users off of Microsoft services, which they likely don't use anyway. Microsoft is likely limiting their own liability by trying to keep these files of their network.
Microsoft is trying to stem torrents and other software sharing sites. Users who pirate in illegal software won't be able share it with others.
This does not make sense, unless the purpose is to keep a specific network clean of "undesired" content. Mrk
