Software firewalls with SPI

    Surprisingly, I am told OA does not support any kind of SPI.

    Probably they have a specific definition of SPI. Can OA distinguish between different packets received (e.g. solicited/unsolicited) ? I beleive so. You should ask the person who informed you about OA, what he/she exactly mean for SPI. Most firewall including windows firewall have some sort of SPI nowadays :)

    I miss that one. Are there any other fans out there?..
    I'm looking for something like it for Windows 7.

    blahsmith, can't really find a simple packet filter for win7.
    Only closest slightly resembling soft is the windows built in firewall.
    But detailed logs are not there as in the old kerio.
    Usually use "netstat -anob -t 1 > c:\netstat1.txt" in the command to log the connection attempts and activities, for debugging and packet checking.
