PC = Popular Contraption
PC = Police Constable?
PC = (P)iece of (C)rap
A PC for me is a great and high quality monitor, a nice desk and a very comfortable seat.
Yea..... those were the days.....
PC has come to mean Windows. It's the whole PC/Mac dichotomy. You don't see people calling their macs PCs even though they are personal computers.
PC = Privy Council
I agree with the idea that 'PC' seems to imply a windows-based personal computer, at least that's the context I've heard the term used under most frequently.
"I'm a Mac
and I'm a PC"
This isn't just user ignorance, it's widely considered to be this way.
Personal Computer. So it's up to the "person" to:
a) define what a "computer" means/looks to him/her
b) consider whether a device (tablet/smartphone/Mac/Ipad/etc) as a "computer".
So, what's a PC?
In the hands of some people,
it turns to be a Personal Catastrophe...
Separate names with a comma.
