Snap and Deploy hangs while trying to connect to Deploy server

    Hello,

    I am evaluating Acronis Snap and Deploy (1277).

    I have successfully created an image booting the master PC from LAN using the PXE server of Acronis. It worked perfectly well.

    Then I uploaded the deploy menu item to the PXE boot menu and booted another computer from LAN using PXE.

    The PXE menu of Acronis appeared correctly, with the two options, to create or to deploy an image. I choose "deploy an image", then it showed a message about the IP address that my DHCP assigned to that PC; up to here, everything working perfectly. But then appears the next screen saying that the computer is attempting to connect with two progress bar. A total progress bar in the bottom and a partial progress bar above the total bar. The partial progress bar starts to progress but just about 25%, then it halts there and it didn't advance anymore. The computer didn't freeze sin I can still use the mouse and press the "Cancel" button, but the progress bar simply doesn't move.

    Since I am beginning to use the program I think this could be easy to solve, perhaps I missed some step.

    After starting the agent on the target machine the progress bar will only go about one third across. Then go to the management console and choose "manage deployment". You should see the ip address of the target machine listed. Choose to deploy in the left pane. Follow the wizard to Oz.

    BugVic, thanks for the info, but I am afraid that I have found too many problems while using Snap and Deploy.

    I'll take a different approach.
