    Hi to all,

I am currently using the free 1 yr subscription to EZ Antivirus. The combined memory usage for all the EZ Antivirus programs running is 10,800 kb. Is there a free Antivirus program that uses less memory? I've heard that AntiVir uses little memory. Does it use less memory than 10,800 kb? If anyone knows, please reply.

    Thank you

USA still the best. But barely.
10,800 kb is really really low. You sure you have every setting on max? And what's your OS?

All depend on your amount of RAM available. The less RAM you have, the less impact on it you see.

F-Prot uses about 8mb total, but it's primarily an on-demand scanner. It does have a resident scanner that alerts you to the bad stuff, but then I think you have to run the regular scanner to fix or remove the problem. But if you're looking for minimal, that's probably it.

Found one and now using it. Avast with standard shield only. Now only 8,700 kb. Now I am happy!

KAV 5.0388 uses about 10MB on my PC. KAV2006 beta runs even less.

Edit: Sorry, I just noticed you asked for free AV oops. Scratch the above
