    Hi Guys,

I guess this might be a strange question, but i thought that since there are a lot of you guys that work in the Security Software industry, someone might be able to give me advice.

Presintily i am working on my final year project at university, I am busy making a proof of concept spyware removal tool. For this task i need to have a signature database. I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction with this. Is it possible to purchase these databases, are they all Proprietary to each company and their research teams ?

    Regards,

    - J

I suppose these are the crown juwels of security firms.

Perhaps you better make a proof of concept sigs database too.

I guess you are correct meneer, I just thought that these companies would not duplicate effort in this manner. In terms of all researching the same spyware, etc. Creating POC Signatures is prolly the way to go for this project, but would of been more impressive to use something with a wider detection base.
