Should I still keep CWS???

    It hasn't been updated since 2005. Should I still keep it?

    Don't like to make assumptions, but I think he might be talking about CWShredder, it is a tool used to remove the Cool Web Search browser hijacker. I think it was originally developed by Merijn, but now is owned by Trend Micro.

    Hasn't been updated in a bout 2 years. So thats why I'm wondering if I should still keep it.

    I wouldn't overly concern myself with CWS, there are plenty of programs that are able to report them and completely remove it should it ever come that far.

    id agree with Easter. programs such as AVG AS or SAS should be able to handle it.

    Hmmm I can't find it in the add/remove list or the CCleaner uninstaller list. Its not under CWS. What would it be under?

    It´s a standalone executable.

    just delete the program file. if theres a shortcut then u can delete it too.

    Delete the executable and the shortcut (if you´ve done one).

    it is where you have saved it

    If you don't know where it is , use Windows to search for cwshredder.exe

    I did a file search and found the desk top thing and a prefetch thing. Delete them and I'm good?

    Yes . By the way , if you haven't used it for year , this Prefetch thing is very old
