    Hi,

I recently installed Acronis Disk Director Suite 10 on my XP home System. Previously I had installed ShadowSurfer by StorageCraft. When I activate shadowsurfer and reboot, as soon as I open a new session I get a BSOD. I had to boot in safe mode, disable ShadowSurfer, reboot, uninstall ADDS 10 to recover ShadowSurfer features. It's apparently due to snapman.sys driver, which seems to be incompatible with StorageCraft drivers.

Would someone know of a workaround ?

    Thanks.

You will probably need to get updated snapman drivers from Acronis. I'm not sure if the same ones for TI work with DD, but I think I read they were working on that problem (or fixed it).

The quickest way would be to either just try installing the updated drivers or contact Acronis Support via Live Chat and explain the problem. (I don't know if the drivers I have linked are the latest ones. I would recommend contacting support.)

Thanks for the reply, I'll look into the links you mentioned. Seems to be an old problem, it's present in StorageCraft FAQ for another product, and they only propose removing the (Acronis) product.

It is an old problem. Acronis hasn't updated DD in quite some time.

It was actually bundled with TI11 so I thought it was recent !

I may also have a work-around if the driver update doesn't solve the issue, which is to ditch ShadowSurfer and try Microsoft SteadyState or Returnil... If they are compatible with DD10 !
