SG problems

At startup SG loads but I get the following message:

Then this message: 'This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down'. My system is Win98 SE with 128 MB RAM. Any ideas on what may be happening? I also regularly check for updates but it has been a long time since any have downloaded.
