I can't believe that Firefox seems clunky, bloated & behind for you. What have you done to your system(s)? Firefox is as fast as Chrome on all three of my computers.

Let's hope they keep both as developed as they are now or better.

Opera is fast for me. Probably the fastest.

Uhh, nothing, I have fast, clean gaming machines. I have yet to see any major benchmarks where FF beats Chromium, so that substantiates my claim. FF has felt old and slow for quite some time now. Chromium had a 10-12% speed increase from 23-24, and there is another 15% speed boost from 24-26, I run 26x builds, and they are ridiculously fast.

But I am picky, I saw some guy say he thought 4-6 second page loads was normal.. I get antsy when page loads go beyond 1 second, optimally 0.10-0.50. So maybe I am just pickier than you guys.

I would give more credit to the javascript engine in this case (SpiderMonkey, now called IonMonkey in FX 18 ).

    Servo won't abandon it BTW.

I was the guy lol. It isn't usual, but normal IMO giving that specific site's conditions.

    Are you sure?

Not necessarily, a lot of this is subjective. You keep making the same statements. Yet on three separate computers I am just not seeing the same results.

It feels pretty zippy to me & I don't detect any differences between it & Chrome. I don't really see much difference between SeaMonkey & Firefox to be honest. Not enough for me to never use SeaMonkey (which I'm actually using now).

I'll have to take your word for it. I doubt anything will change for me when I eventually update Chrome to those versions.

Most of my page loads are fast, depending on the site, I'd say I'm not hanging around much more than a second usually in Firefox, Opera or Chrome.

It's difficult to say. SM is very popular with the Linux buffs.
