Services.exe is a real pest in my win2000proSP4 computer and uses regularly 100% of my CPU.
During that time my computer is almost frozen until services.exe has done its job, whatever that job may be, certainly not a SERVICE. Pffff.

Is there any way to make services.exe lesser active or
can I deactivate services.exe completely without getting other problems ?

I never had this problem in the past and I assume that it is caused by all these Windows Updates.
