So, i want to make a boot usb that i will be using when i want to stay completely hidden online. I want to be able to encrypt everything on it so it cannot boot without a password, and was wondering how one could get a linux distro on there and have it be fully encrypted..also, what would be the most secure encryption method.

I need the disk to act somewhat like an actual os, since i want to setup a few vpn's in a chain through ssh tunneling, and dont want to go through the steps of actually setting them up every time. The thing is, is i want it to be completely wiped after im done. Sort of like what the tails distro does, but keep the vpn settings. I dont want any trace of that system being used if at all possible.

If there is going to be multiple tunnelings of the vpn through ssh, is tor necessary, or would it have adverse effects?

Anything else i can do to further secure the boot disk?
