Cyber Café Keylogger (internet tracking software key strokes)

well... this is from www. key-logger .ws
"Key logger is useful in case of cyber café. It finds out what user was doing on computers. In the present time various cyber café theft are carried by Cyber Stalkers and intruder. Program decreases crime % in cyber cafes. So that cyber café owner can sleep a rest full night. Spy monitor secretly tracking passwords entered on your computer website tracking for cyber cafe capture activity on website. yahoo and all messenger saving chat and password recording software to log passwords used on computer activity. cyber active the internet cafe hidden spy programs record computer activity live desktop activities keystroke recording online voice recording sites for kids software."

So much about their reputation, they don't care about your privacy, and if anything happens, then its on you to prove the security breach was on "that" PC.

I think there are some ways to decrease the risks of working on public PC.
Firstly, why is it not safe working on public pc? Mainly because there are trojans running, which can record key/mouse event, capture screen, sniffer network events...

    so, just for your requirement.
    1. using https, no hacker will spend time on hacking https(perhaps some very intelligent guys will do, but not heard about it), all banks use https, so skip it

    2. scanning key hooker, because you have an usb key, can skip this

    3. use software has sandbox function to run your browser, and after exiting sandbox, remove the shadow files/registry in sandbox. (will remove cookies, ie tempororay files, history...)

Optional and more safe, you can temporarily install a trial version of protect system(rollback/deepfreeze..., will spend no more than 10 minutes), then run ie to work, after worked, recover system to original, then uninstall.

Agree with other guys said, avoid working on public pc is the best way.

Shadow file registry? What is that? Isn't everything deleted after you delete the Sandbox?

The two local public PC's that I have tried (University and Public Library) will not even let me install Firefox.

yes, if delete the sandbox, everything should be deleted.
Shadow file/registry - a copy of the file/registry you want to modify, in sandbox, only these shadow files/registry can be modified.

that means you are logon as limited user without "setup" permission. so forget sandbox/vm, it will not allow to install.
