    Hi Sinlam...
my instances of SecAP are of course installed not on "empty" system what means that they are some other security apps inside that are working. In both systems (XP and Vista) are installed SpyShelter Premium, Keriver 1-Click Free and HMPA...on both systems I have firewall: Kerio 2.1.5 on XP and Loo'n'Stop on Vista and additionaly are used LV apps: on XP Wondershare Time Freeze, on Vista Shadow Defender. Still in real-time are working only SS, HMPA and firewalls.
Yesterday I installed your app one more time on XP and just after installation I was completely surprised becouse on XP now was presented 4 processes with very low resources consumption...see on screenshot

    SAP 1.jpg

I was glad...very glad!...but only to the system reboot...just after reboot I've checked working processes and...taadaaam...again still only 3 of SecAP are presented and of course with higher usage!! I'm completely confused...even more...I'm just stupid and can't explain such behavior. I will try to reproduce everything from starting installation to reboot and to catch changes in files and registry between each steps (installation-initial scanning-reboot-launching SecAP)

    SAP 2.jpg

BTW...context menu of mouse button is already "discovered" and used to include to WL some apps or installer as trusted :)

Hi THEAWISFAMILY2005, welcome to SecureAPlus Freemium Forum :)

SecureAPlus provides application whitelisting protection that blocks new and unknown malware from penetrating the user's computer upon its first sign of entry. It also provides an optional installation of antivirus component. Users can choose to either install the av component or if they already have an existing av on their machine, they can choose not to install SecureAPlus. SecureAPlus is compatible to most of the av software in the market.

SecureAPlus application whitelisting (without the av engine) will provide an added layer of defense to your existing av software on your machine. AV is good in catching known virus if its virus signature has been created. But it may not be able to detect new and unknown malware if its virus signature has yet to be created. This is when SecureAPlus application whitelisting comes into play and blocks all those stealthy malware regardless of how evasive they can be.

Hope this answers your query. Please let me know if you need further clarification.

    Cheers,
    sinlam

Hi ichito, thank you for your valuable feedback :thumb: I truly understand that this must be a frustrating experience to you. Appreciate your great patience with SecureAPlus.

Besides from siketa's suggestion, if you do encounter the same problem again, kindly email the log file from C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SecureAge Technology\SecureAge\log\ to secureaplus@secureage.com.

At the same, please also email the c:\fltmc.txt and c:\service.txt to us. You can get these text files by doing the following:

Type the following command at the command prompt:
    fltmc>c:\fltmc.txt
    sc query>c:|service.txt

We will try our best to find out the source of the problem.

    Cheers,
    sinlam

just signed up for beta, need a IPad. Lol Seriously, I think we have seen this type of product is the wave of the future. From what I am told, there is a new type of malware on the horizon that an AV is going to have real problems with as far as zero-day. We shall see.

OK...there are some trials so they are failures also. I've installed SecAP with AV and unfortunately such combo is not for me...it's just to heavy...7 processes on "peak season" it's able to kill my machine with XP. But it's not so important...more important is that - while installation (AV module) I got alert that "AntiVirus not passed compatibility testing with XP"...see on screenshot

    install_alert.jpg

    Panorama.jpg

Next - all modules and 3 services are running and have enabled autostart but after restart one of them was "automaticly by itself" disabled. Weird situation without explain.

So I tried SecAP without AV...eveything was good till system reboot even services are correctly running...but after that - BSOD...Next BSOD...and one more time BSOD. It was too much for me so I reverted system to proper state thanks Keriver 1-Click.

Sinlam...sorry but I have not log files promised earlier... needed data have been canceled after reverting system from backup.

Hi ichito, it is ok if you do not have the log files. We will see what we can do.

Sorry for the problem you are facing.

I would prefer to simply purchase a license for the program instead of taking part in this referral program. I don't like licenses which are only valid for one year no matter if paid or free. Why not just offer lifetime licenses for Money and maybe an upgrade fee for Major Version updates. This would as well differentiate SecureAplus from the usual subscription model of other AV companies. Purchasing a program once is just comfortable for the user. It is set and Forget. I hate to worry about about my licenses which are running out and having to think about renewing my subscription. I want to buy a product and use it as Long as I want. I don't really get the whole subscription model anyway. It sucks for the enduser. Always. :thumbd:

Hi Arcanez, welcome to SecureAPlus Forum. Nice to meet you :)

Thank you for your valuable feedback and suggestion :thumb: We will be releasing a paid version after we have officially launched the next revamp version of SecureAPlus in a couple of months' time. Frankly speaking, our initial plan was to go with the flow and adopt subscription model just like other AV companies. But your suggestion is extremely valid and shed another perspective to our pricing model.

By the way, just in case you are interested. You can join us as a Beta Tester, help us to test the new revamp version of SecureAPlus and get a life-time user license for free. The Beta 1 version will be out some time in February for testing but you can register as a beta tester now at http://beta.secureaplus.com to understand how the new SecureAPlus work.

Looking forward to hear more comment or suggestion from you.

    Cheers,
    sinlam

Does taking part in challenge #1 or challenge #2 entitle for lifetime license ? Or its the challenge after beta is released ?

    Hi KaptainBug, good question :)

By taking part in the beta, you will get a life-time license for free. By taking part in the beta challenges, active participation in the SecureAPlus Beta Forum and the upcoming surveys, you will earn bonus points and stand a chance to win iPad Air or iPad Mini.

Hope this clarifies. Please feel free to ask if you have more query.

By the way, what do you think of Arcanez's comment?

    Cheers,
    sinlam

Yes I definitely agree abt the paid licensing model. Its a pain to refer friends who are not as technical/enthusiastic as Wilders members are.
