    you can try this

go to satrt/run and paste this line ionto the box
    del "C:\RECYCLED\DC8\AO-_N1_"

it might work, the problem is that the last digit of the file is a space and windows is very fussy about deleting things with a space at the end it doesn't recognize them very well

Tried this can't do it - then I went back to the recycled bin deleted something and emptied the bin now it says cannot find specified file DC8\A....... and the bin shows there's still stuff in then I deleted something else and deleted in the bin. Then it showed a empty bin - I went to AVG did a custom test on the Recyled file the same thing cannot open C:\RECYCLED\DC..........
    Sorry to be a bother

    Hi Christa Le Roux,

Reboot into DOS and use these commands:

    C:
    attrib -r -s -h recycled
    deltree recycled

Press [Return] after each line and answer yes to any confirmation prompts.

Then boot normally and a brandnew and empty Recycle bin will be created.

    Regards,

    Pieter
