I have a Dell System Workstation with an embedded Adaptec AIC-7901 SCSI controller. The HD is Seagate ST3146807LW and the bootable rescue CD will not regognize the SCSI drive. I am using Acronis True Image ver 8.0 build 763. What's up with this?

Sounds as if there was no driver for that particular SCSI controller in the Linux kernel used in the rescue software, or maybe that Adaptec chip does not have its own BIOS? Having all the possibly needed Linux device drivers in the stripped-down small Linux kernel used in TI rescu software is almost asking for the impossible, IMHO.
