Doubt my Openbox flashy-less setup will get much love, but here it is:

 

Nice simplicity IMHO. I like it actually.

 

I like the simplicity but it's toooo dark.

 

Slight upgrade with Numix icons/theme

 

99% of time I do not look at desktop, so I do not really care, what is there. I use desktop as a download folder to quickly access files and get rid of them ASAP.

Edit: I'm trying them but you need a dark panel for some icons to be well visible.
A dark variant of the icon set would be appreciated.
