124mb footprint is awesome, what gtk programs are there on your Debian XFCE btw?

    iceweasel
    openoffice
    transmission
    gpicview
    audacious
    xfburn
    synaptic (obviously)
    xarchiver
    gnome-mplayer
    gimp
    gdm

I think that's all my current gtk apps other than xfce itself.

This is awesome linuxforall. debian and xfce are a match made in heaven. Fast, low footprint, easy to configure, stable. Just perfect for desktop use.

Sorry, I misunderstood your question linuxforall. GTK apps running in that particular screenshot are xfce with thunar and xfce4-terminal.

Thats why its commendable even with gtk apps, the memory footprint is that low.

Great isn't it and one of the many reasons why I love a custom install debian. Just lately i've been playing with distros in virtualbox just to use some of that wasted ram thats always sat there doing nothing :p

Mainly for the 'scape... ( Not my normal desktop - too busy ). This = Karmic which
I only use to 'play around' . Lucid is for my serious stuff.

:argh: korben, with teachers like that failing class at the end of each year would be desirable - because then we can repeat. (Just live a few years longer to make up for the 'lost' time). :p

PS. Your Engels is first class.:thumb:
