    Hello!

Could ESET moderators explain more about option 'Potentially dangerous application'?

    Thanks!

Yep, that's my understanding too. Apparently, AV vendors are having to use terms like "potentially dangerous" or "potentially unwanted' because some of the Spyware/Adware vendors like Claria Corporation of GAIN.Gator notoriety are suing various companies for detecting them like viruses and trojans. Why? Because they claim that Gator is usually installed with some other software with permission for their installation of adware/spying activities buried in the fine print of the click-through install license agreement. They say that the AV vendors should stay out of it because the end-user supposedly accepted this nonsense.

Maybe some day we'll see NOD32 with integrated firewall; Hello ! I have Spy Sweeper 3 and Ad-Aware SE Professional for spyware detection, prevention and removal; what I want is the best antivirus possible, not that NOD32 isn't good, but there is always room for improvement; I don't see this extension as an improvement and what I hate about BitDefender, Norton and Zone Alarm Pro is that they are trying to be this all in one great application and fail to be very good at thier main purpose; and by the way, I use SyGate Personal Firewall Pro, so no need for firewall. Don't listen to Microsoft(they said in an article that all the major antivirus developers are going to include spyware detection) and continue to do what you do best; in no way can NOD32 as good as the antispyware programs mentioned above.
I never try beta versions, but that's just me.
