Setup OF Automatic updates. Can this actually run with trial version?
Under setup of automatic update it says it's scheduled. What is the default schedule?

NOD32 Update- execution of an external application. Like what? I need an example to fully understand this.

On demand scanner- scanning set for 7:30 pm doesn't starto_O

    NOD32 update-Nod 32 update

Can someone give me the default settings with scheduler. I have no idea what I'm doing? :(

Hi Alith, I would have a wander through the NOD32 Tutorial located HERE it should answer most of your questions.

I have read the info in this link https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=37509
I do have a few questions.

I assume automatic updates will occur once I get the paid version, right?
When it says Automatic Updates have been scheduled, how do you find out when it's scheduled for? Is this the same as Update-NOD32 Update in the scheduler? Automatic updates occur thru My Profile once password etc entered, right? What settings should be in the My Profile profile?

    Profiles Questions:
There are several choices. What is the purpose of all these profiles?
Control center profile being one of them. Can this profile be used for all the scheduled tasks (except My profile is used for automatic updates)? If I have to set up all the profile choices, what should the settings be?

Run this profile in cleaning mode.... if I don't select this option, will it prompt for a response?

    Scheduler Questions:
On Demand Scanner: Is it scanning the C drive? Is using Control Center Profile for this scan okay ?

System startup file check: Is event triggered the best choice? User logon? When computer starts? Files run before or after user log on? Check priority-lowest?

NOD32 Update-updating what virus definitions? Use My Profile?

They occur generally once a day with the Trial and Registered versions, updates are checked for automatically every hour by default.

It should be left at the default setting of 1 hour for checks.

I always recommend those that are found within the NOD32 Tutorial.

Like pizzas, you can have various topping depending upon how you feel, you can to with NOD32 set up various profiles to act differently.

    Cheers :D

All Scheduled items can be viewed\adjusted via Nod32 Control Center > Nod32 System Tools > Scheduler/Planner

I understand Nod32 update is the automatic update which I left at every one hour. Thanks.

I have log maintenance at 30 days and a schedule to be run once a week on Friday at 9pm.

System startup file check. I'm a bit confused with. Can you tell me the default schedule for it. Event triggered? Run every time computer starts? Run the task every 24 hrs? Level of files to check? Check priority? What settings do you recommend?

Can you also tell me exactly how to schedule scanning of C drive automatically. This is done thru On demand scanner right?

    Thanks.

You can right click on any task and "edit" it, this will show you what the default settings are, to which I would recommend leaving them at these settings.

Correct, as per the Tutorial, and once a week is more than adequate for the average user.

    Cheers :D

    Nod32 Kernal system file check:
    once, repeatedly,daily,weekly, or event triggered.
    I picked event triggeredo_O
    Run task at:

Select level of files to check:
Files Run after user log on.
What should setting be for check priority?

Your examples, are they 2 different scheduled tasks for system startup?

Thanks for being so helpful and patient Blackspear.

If C drive is checked for scanning targets, does that mean when a scheduled
On Demand scanner runs, it scans this C drive, right?

Forgot to ask if I need to make another scan schedule for this:
    Name: System startup file check
    Task: System startup file check
    Module: NOD32 Kernel
Scheduled: Successful update of the virus signature database (At maximum every 24 hours).
Special Settings: Run system check after update

I made schedule with the user logon, do I need to make another one with
    Run system check after update?

    'Where are you meaning now?'
    On Demand scanner in schedule.

If it was mine I would uninstall and reinstall to be certain all the default scan settings I had played with where back to normal. I never touch these default settings

The "On Demand Scanner" does not have a "schedule", by it's very name it is "on demand".

    Cheers :D
