Scheduled Backup Does Not run

    I have been testing a trial version in the hope that Paragon Backup would be a possible replacement for Acronis True Image. (TI always "seemed" to be working okay, but I found out otherwise when I actually had to restore a hard drive and ran in to repeated problems with corrupt and unreadable backups.)

    As a test, I have tried to create a daily scheduled backup of my documents folder to a USB-attached hard drive. The task will run if "run now" is selected, but it will absolutely not run on schedule. I have tried to run on schedule either with login credentials (when I have been signed off) or leaving myself logged in through the scheduled back up time. No joy either way.

    Is the scheduler disabled in the trial version (which I thought was supposed to be a time-limited version of the full product) or is this a fault with the scheduler? If the latter, the product is useless to me.

    Any advice will be appreciated.

    When this happened to me, it is because I did not enter the password into the task properly. Each time I alter the schedule, I have had to re-enter the necessary id and password even though I have not changed the info. It is not retained upon an edit although it appears like it did.

    Thanks for the suggestion, but I have diligently entered the password in the scheduler. It still refuses to run whether or not I am logged on at the scheduled time.

    I am coming to the conclusion that this software is badly flawed.

    Do you know if Paragon support staff monitors this forum?

    IMO, Paragon staff is nowhere near this forum. Send them a support request.

    Thanks. Posted request directly with Paragon support and was advised that the unattended backups will not work in trial version because when they start the "do you want to purchase" dialogue comes up first and program operation will not continue until that dialogue is closed. Will test scheduler while sitting at computer and see how it operates. Then will make purchase decision.
