Schedule be able to disable other programs

I have search the forum for this question, but I can't seem to find an answer.

Is there a way to set up the FDISR schedule update of an archive, but have it somehow disable my antivirus program (Bitdefender) while it's doing the update? I've noticed that every time I do an snapshot update, it crashes unless I shut off Bitdefender's 'virus shield'. I know I can do this manually, but I have a couple of computers that really would be easier to have automation help me maintain them.
